How to add Read More on Blogger

This is a step by step tutorial on how to add "Read More" on your blog with blogger.

First, go to your Layout > Edit HTML here you can edit your HTML of your blog. Make sure to check the box on Expand Widgets Templates

Second, find this following code on your HTML do a seach ( CTRL+F ) post-header-line-1 if you cant find this try looking for <data:post.body>


Add the following code below the <div class=’post-header-line-1′/> and <div class=’post-header-line’> tags if you’ve got both.

<style>.fullpost{display:none;}</style>

Third, now let's add one more bit of code which will actually create the “read more” link in your post. This code will go below the <data:post.body/> tag so copy the following and paste it in. Feel free to change the “Read more…” text to whatever you want the link to look like. Be careful not to delete any other code during this process.

Finally, for this step, you need to navigate in your Blogger account to “Settings” => “Formatting” and scroll all the way down to the bottom. It’s the last option called “Post Template”. You’re going to paste in the following code:

Now, creat a new post when you click on the “Posting” tab, you’ll notice that the post text area is now pre-populated with the <span class=”fullpost”> and </span> tags.

Looking for a way on how you can redirect your blogger blog to your new or different site?

That's easy follow the steps below on how to redirect blogger to another site.
1. Sign into your Blogger Dashboard, click LAYOUT, then go to the EDIT HTML
2. Then in template editor window, add this code into your template just below the <head> tag.

URL of where you want the blog to be redirected"

Don't forget to replace URL of where you want the blog to be redirected with the actual URL of your site you want to redirect.

Picasa Widgets Plugins for your Blog

I'm currently using Picasa as my storage for my photos and I want it also be streamed onto my blogs.

Here are some nifty widgets for Picasa so that you can stream some photos in your blog or website.

Simple Javascript-based Picasa Widgets


This script can be use any platforms Blogger or Wordpress

To add this widget to your blog, copy the following code and paste into a sidebar widget (or directly in your template) where you would like this widget to be displayed. Be sure to replace “YOUR_USERNAME” with your own Picasa username!

Picasa Web Album Widget for Blogger


You will need your Picasa username to configure this widget for your needs, and can style the widget by adding CSS declarations to the skin section of your template.

Official Picasa Slideshow Widget


Log on to your Picasa Account click on the album you would like to embed. On the right-hand side of your page, you will see the option to “Link to this album”. Here you need to click on the “Embed slideshow” option which will cause a pop-up screen to appear. Choose the size of widget you prefer and any other options to configure for your needs. A preview of how your widget will appear is on the right-hand side of the options.



Once you’re done, the code to embed the widget in your blog is displayed in the pale yellow area. Simply copy this code and paste in your blog where you would like the slideshow to appear.

First of all, you’re going to need the URL of the Picasa RSS feed for the album you would like to embed. You will find the RSS feed for your album on the right-hand menu. Copy this URL to your clipboard, then head on over to Roy Tanck’s Photostream Widget page.

Plurk is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allows users to send updates (otherwise known as plurks) through short messages or links, which can be up to 140 text characters in length.

Updates are then shown on the user's home page using a timeline which lists all the updates received in chronological order, and delivered to other users who have signed up to receive them. Users can respond to other users' updates from their timeline through the Plurk.com website, by instant messaging, or by text messaging.

You can embed a Plurk Widget Timeline to your blog and site. How nifty is that?

How to post IMAGES/PHOTOS on Friendster Facebook Myspace

All you need to do is a little HTML code and your IMAGE URL.

First, get your IMAGES or PHOTO URL

example: http://cjtwopointzero.net/onionheads/onion(5).gif


Now, type this HTML tag < img src="Your IMAGE/PHOTO URL here!"> and your done!

Wait, just a minute.. you noticed that the IMAGE/PHOTO is way too BIG or WIDTH.

You can fix that by adding "width" or "height" tag on your HTML.

example: < img src="Your IMAGE/PHOTO URL" width="300">
300 is in pixel so you need to measure the size of the IMAGE by pixels

Also you can add a URL on the IMAGE that is pointing to another website or to your own profile.

NOTE: DO NOT INCLUDE A SPACE BETWEEN < img.. or your tag wont work ;)
